A ground-floor commercial space adapted for a gallery and events programme. The renovation respected the existing concrete structure while creating a flexible, neutral backdrop for changing exhibitions.
The original building was a warehouse from the 1960s. The intervention stripped the interior to its raw concrete frame and sealed the floor with a polished industrial screed. New track lighting provides complete flexibility for exhibition lighting.
A moveable wall system allows the space to be reconfigured for different formats. A small bookshop and archive occupy the rear of the plan.
The exterior facade was refreshed with a raw render finish and new aluminium-framed glazing at street level, restoring the original transparency of the street-facing elevation.
